Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia Ella Pamfilova criticized the work of the election commission in St. Petersburg. According to her, there are people who are not interested in detecting offenses during the vote.
“I understand that you have a 'fifth column' there … which is not interested in having it all revealed,” Pamfilova said at the briefing, adding that she hopes that most members of the commission are determined keep the situation under control.
Pamfilova also expressed the wish that the commission should monitor the elections in the city more effectively so that “all kinds of cases” do not occur there.
Previously, Pamfilova confirmed that in the six founding Entities of the Russian Federation recorded 8 cases of ballots, but St. Petersburg was not named among the violators
