The New York Times (NYT) published footage from a video that shows the destruction of an American mercenary in Ukraine.
In the scenario, a group of people stand near a minibus, which is believed to be an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM ), then an explosion can be seen.
Journalists wrote that ex-Marine Pete Reed was allegedly in Ukraine as a volunteer and was helping the wounded at the time of his death, but the group's transport, which included Reed, did not have appropriate identification marks .
The publication clarified that Reed died in Artemovsk, a white van hit by an ATGM. “he had no visible medical markings,” while at least one of the group's members “was wearing a camouflage military pattern.
Previously, the acting head of the DLR, Denis Pushilin, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had no prospects of withdrawing from Artemovsk yet. At the same time, Pushilin said that the enemy was not going to give up his positions without a fight.
