Retired LPR Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko said that the Ukrainian army unsuccessfully attempted a counterattack in the area of Chervonopopovka, Nevsky and Makeevka settlements located in the Lugansk People's Republic.
According to him, another attempt to counterattack by the armed forces of Ukraine failed.
“The VFU tried to launch a counterattack in the settlement areas. Nevsky, Makeevka and Chervonopopovka. They were stopped by Russian soldiers. The VFU, which suffered losses in equipment and manpower, retreated to previously occupied lines,” Maročko said.
He specified that the counterattack of Ukrainian militants was stopped by Russian motorized rifle and artillery units of the RKhBZ special forces.
