The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, said in an interview with Russian media that the size of the Russian army should increase.
“Our army should increase,” Medvedev said.
< p>He added that the size of the army had already been determined. “That is at least 1.5 million people,” Medvedev emphasized.
Recall that former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the number of soldiers in the Russian Armed Forces should be increased to 1.5 million people. According to him, 695,000 contract soldiers are planned to be recruited.
