Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO), Vladimir Medinsky said during a working trip to Yekaterinburg that the West deliberately disrupted the signing of the peace agreement between Kyiv and Moscow in Istanbul.
“Russia, not in words, but in deeds, was ready for a peaceful solution,” said Medinsky, emphasizing that Kiev is already close to this decision.
“But such a decision absolutely did not suit Ukrainian curators in the West,” – he continued Medinsky and emphasized that the West deliberately set out to disrupt the negotiation process.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with African leaders, pointed to the Istanbul Treaty and said that Kiev “threw it into the dustbin of history”.
