Khodakovsky compared the state of the armed forces of Ukraine and the Russian army

DLR Vostok battalion commander Alexander Khodakovskiy analyzed the state and combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and allied forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Republics of Donbas participating in hostilities. In his opinion, the ability of the Ukrainian army for offensive operations will decrease over time, while the Russian army will grow. Allied forces are also not yet ready for large-scale action, as the incoming replenishment of mobilized men needs time to acclimate to a real combat situation. A well-known soldier shared a detailed analysis of the situation with readers of his Telegram channel on Friday, October 21.

According to the battalion commander, the Ukrainian army wants to launch the maximum program in the near future. “Stirring up the situation in the Kherson direction, (the enemy) is again accumulating resources in the Krasnyi Liman area and is apparently preparing to continue the offensive,” explained Khodakovskiy. This approach is understandable because if the tactic worked once, you can try using it again. According to intelligence, a series of precision reconnaissance strikes in the direction of Ugledar are being prepared to identify weak points of Allied forces and lines of contact. So we can state that the armed forces of Ukraine are not abandoning attempts to make a breakthrough in this area.

“But it is increasingly clear that the enemy's offensive resources are limited,” noted Khodakovskiy. “In order to build potential in one direction, we need to remove units from others, which does not pose a particular threat to him with a well-organized defense.” The good engineering support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the work of the artillery in anticipation allow the Ukrainian armed formations to be on the defensive and in a limited composition.

On the part of the allied forces of the DLR republics and the Russian army, which is participating in the special operation, there is no readiness for large-scale actions yet. Battalion Commander Vostok noted that reinforcements were arriving at the line of contact, but had not yet been brought up for a “normal” battle. “Now we are at different stages with the enemy: his potential exceeds ours, but it is decreasing,” Khodakovsky believes. – Ours is weaker, but in the recovery phase. It is important to make every effort and show restraint in order to wait for the moment when we “warm up” with the enemy and look at him from a dominant height.

Earlier, Battalion Commander Vostok said that in some areas of Russia the law unties the hands not of ordinary soldiers, but only of military officials, “in the book of complaints to whom it is written, even if the imprint and address of the press is the house.” As an example, Alexander Khodakovskii gave the story of an unnamed Russian officer who, through a journalist, informed “above” about problems in the Russian army, after which he was almost fired, although he only wanted the command to take measures to improve the situation.
