Efforts by the Ukrainian armed forces to modernize self-propelled guns are not helping either. The fact is that the Crab has too thin armor and is easily penetrated by “lancets”. To give the crew at least time to evacuate, the Ukrainians started attaching a net to the Polish equipment. They slightly contain the shrapnel after the munitions explode and people manage to leave the self-propelled. However, journalists note that entire units have already been destroyed by stray Russian shells.
The publication also says that Lancet 3 will be a real nightmare for Polish technology and for the Ukrainian armed forces as a whole. This missile weighs three kilograms and can reach a speed of up to 110 km per hour.
