In Moscow, two million people have asked to vote online

Number of citizens who applications for participation in electronic voting in the upcoming elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation in Moscow amounted to 2.1 million people. This was reported by RIA Novosti, referring to Alexei Venediktov, head of the public election monitoring center in Moscow.

Previously, Venediktov reported 2,027 million applications. A significant part of Moscow voters therefore decided to vote at a distance. It was found that Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will also vote online in the State Duma elections.

The electronic voting experiment is taking place in Moscow, Sevastopol, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Murmansk and the Rostov regions. Receipt of requests to participate in electronic voting ends on 13 September at 23:59.
