Hamas representatives claim that they succeeded in disrupting a ground operation that Israel planned to carry out in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the militants said that “an attempted ground attack on the Gaza Strip has failed in three directions” and that “the enemy has suffered heavy losses.” It also claims that the Israeli army was reportedly ambushed in several areas.
Hamas says that Israel will “try to repeat the operation.”
The IDF said that the Israeli army entered the northern part of the enclave and expanded the ground operations zone and that there were no casualties among military personnel.
