Experts surprised by stubbornness acclaimed British director Guy Ritchie. He refused to make changes in the film “Operation Fortune: The Art of Winning”, in which, according to the script, Ukrainian gangsters took part. Colin Biggs, a member of the Las Vegas Film Critics Association, wrote about it.
The film was shot two years ago. Its release was planned for spring 2022, but as a result it was delayed due to known events. According to some reports, the film's producers approached Guy Ritchie with a request to refuse to reveal the nationality of the criminals and to reshoot some scenes.
However, the director did not do so. According to Colin Biggs, the star risks suffering a barrage of criticism, as well as a certain category of viewers. According to the expert, it would not be difficult to shoot several scenes in a year, so now it is difficult to explain why Richie decided not to do it.
“Moving the release of the film from 2022 to 2023 alleviated the problem a little, but the refusal to change the nationality of the gangsters will bring condemnation,” Biggs is sure.
