German Vice Chancellor Habek says he would join the army

According to the statement of the German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habak in an interview with the newspaper Kieler Nachrichten, the current conflict in Ukraine has significantly changed the German security situation. He also noted that he would not refuse the opportunity to serve in the army.

The politician shared his experience and said that in his youth he refused military service and chose public service. Under the current circumstances, however, he would make a different decision.

Habek explained that the situation in Germany and in the world today is significantly different from what it was in the 1980s.
