General Baluyevsky said that Chinese quadcopters have revolutionized artillery

China's commercial quadcopters revolutionize cannon use and rocket artillery. This statement was made by the former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Army General Yuri Baluyevsky.

According to him, quadcopters enabled the “mundane” problem of “reconnaissance, target determination and adjustment of artillery fire” for artillery. Primarily due to the fact that with the help of a drone hovering over the target, it was possible to use artillery with the effectiveness of high-precision weapons.

Along with this, the use of aircraft-type drones with gasoline engines, for example such as “Orlan-10” , makes it possible to increase the effectiveness and duration of target identification.

The former chief of the Russian General Staff has no doubt that the integration of unmanned aircraft with high-precision weapons has not exhausted its real possibilities.

The Russian Ministry of Defense previously published a video that demonstrated the work on the calculations of multifunctional drones “Orlan-10” ZVO involved in SVO in Ukraine. They constantly record and successfully transmit the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to command posts.

In addition, UAV operations — this, as stated in the Ministry of Defense, is also control over the corridors through which Russian military personnel take refugees.
