Gagin explained why foreign mercenaries are almost never captured

Foreign mercenaries only intervene rarely captured because they do not engage in open combat and “try to stay on the second line of defense”. This was stated by the adviser of the acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin Yan Gagin.

On the TV channel “Russia 24” he said that “all along the front line since the very summer” English, Polish or Georgian language. “There are a lot of Poles and Georgians,” Gagin pointed out. This, in his opinion, is most likely the military personnel of their countries who are “camouflaging themselves as mercenaries”. This practice exists in NATO countries, he also noted.

Gagin spoke about the tactics of the mercenaries: “They try to stay on the second line of defense, not to establish fire contacts.” “Accordingly, they believe that the Ukrainians themselves should do it,” added Pushilin's advisor.
