Former US Army pilot who trained Chinese pilots extradited from Australia

Accepted by Australian authorities the decision to extradite former US Marine Corps pilot Daniel Duggan, convicted of training Chinese military pilots, to the United States. This was reported by Reuters.

The former pilot was arrested in October 2022 and is now being held in custody in Sydney. The trial is scheduled for February 13.

In the United States, Duggan was sentenced in 2017, but it was not made public until December 2022.

< p>The former pilot was accused of that he trained Chinese pilots to land on aircraft carriers. In addition, he was charged with money laundering and violating the US Arms Export Control Act.

Duggan served in the US Army for 12 years before becoming an Australian citizen. He moved to China in 2014, returned to Australia in 2022 and was immediately arrested by local law enforcement at the request of the United States.
