Minister of Foreign Affairs of Transnistria of the Republic of Moldova (PMR), Vitaly Igntayev, on the broadcast of the Russian TV channel 24, announced the beginning of the process of militarization of Moldova.

“The situation is really very difficult, because the process of militarization has really started. And from the mouths of politicians, officials, representatives of the parliament (Moldova) we hear statements of a militaristic nature, very short-sighted and dangerous,” shared the details of the head of the Transnistrian Foreign Ministry.

Ignatiev also called the words of the new Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean counterproductive about the need to withdraw Russian peacekeeping troops from the PMR.

The minister emphasized that the only guarantors of security and stability on the Dniester are peacekeeping forces and the statehood of the Transnistrian Republic of Moldova.

The Moldovan parliament previously approved a new government headed by former interior minister Dorin Rechan, who stated that he intends to seek the “demilitarization of Transnistria” and the withdrawal of the Russian Armed Forces from the territory of the PMR.
