Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he had agreed with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the construction of a gas hub in Turkey. He said this at a meeting of his party in parliament.

“At our last meeting with Mr. Putin, we agreed to create a gas hub in Turkey. As he himself announced, Europe will be able to use Russian gas through Turkey,” Erdogan said.

Earlier, Igor Yushkov, an expert at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, noted that the question now is whether Europeans will be ready to buy additional volumes of gas. If so, you will have to create additional infrastructure, but it will require a lot of time and money.

At the same time, Nikolai Vavilov, a specialist in the strategic research department of Total Research, noted that the initiative announced by Putin is economically profitable, in addition is this route potentially safer than both Nord Streams.
