Elon Musk delayed the release of documents about Twitter's attempts to cover up an old scandal involving the son of the US president, Hunter Biden. He previously announced the sensational data release on his blog at 5pm ET. The businessman promised to answer all questions live. “We're double-checking some facts, so we'll start a little later,” he said.
Earlier, House Republicans promised to investigate the US president's business ties. They were first reported in October 2020 after a series of publications in the New York Post. The publication said they gained access to correspondence allegedly found on Hunter Biden's laptop.
The personal computer itself was found at one of the repair shops in Delaware. Its owner copied the laptop's hard drive and gave a copy to former New York mayor and Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani. Later, the Daily Mail wrote that the photos from the laptop are possible evidence of a connection between the son of the US president and drug dealers.
