Russia has decided to withdraw from the global organization tourism. The Spanish news agency Agencia EFE informed about it.
The organization itself also announced it on its Twitter. “Russia has announced its intention to withdraw from the UNWTO,” the publication said. It should be noted that, according to the agreed procedure, the process will take about a year. On April 27, an extraordinary General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization began in Madrid, at which it was planned to discuss the issue of suspending Russia's membership. Rostourism has not yet confirmed the information about leaving the organization.
