Russians over 30 years of age, who have not completed military service in the Russian army and are in the reserve, are expected to be involved in military training after the adoption of the law on changing the military age. URA.RU was told by a member of the Committee for Defense of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Viktor Sobolev.

According to him, the purpose of the training will be to acquire Military Specialization. In addition, he noted that the country “should have a trained mobilization reserve.”

He emphasized that it will also be necessary to conduct training camps for the people of Russia who are in reserve and reserve. Sobolev specified that this will be done in relation to those who do not have a military specialty.

At the end of December at the college of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, President Vladimir Putin supported the initiative of the head of the military department Sergei Shoigu to raise the minimum age for conscription from 18 for 21 years and a maximum — from 27 to 30 years old. In addition, Shoigu proposed to the head of state to increase the number of soldiers in the ranks of the Russian army to 1.5 million people.
