According to CNN, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency, William Burns made a secret visit to Ukraine in October.
During an unannounced visit to Kiev, the US intelligence chief held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Reporters report that at the meeting, Burns assured Zelensky that Washington would continue to support Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia. Special attention was paid to the exchange of intelligence.
CNN noted that this trip took place at a time when American authorities began to express concerns about the possible use of nuclear weapons on the territory of Ukraine.
