Canada imposed sanctions on Ukrainians who remained working in museums in new regions of Russia.
“The list of persons subject to sanctions includes Ukrainians who work in museums and other cultural centers cooperating with Russia,” the website says . website of the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs.
The list also includes individuals who have been accused of “theft and destruction of cultural property and Ukrainian culture”.
In total, sanctions were imposed against 24 individuals and 17 legal entities. It was previously reported that Russian military blogger Yuri Podoljaka, as well as former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and his son Alexander, were subject to Canadian sanctions.
