At the same time, representatives of the Russian Federation and Belarus were not invited to the event, TASS reports. Earlier, Russian diplomats honored the memory of Russian soldiers and Bulgarian volunteers who died during the liberation of Bulgaria.

Actions in support of Russia were regularly held in Bulgaria. At the same time, the country's authorities support Kyiv. Since February, Bulgaria has exported weapons worth more than one billion euros to Ukraine, but all of these deliveries have been unofficial. Only on November 3 did the parliament there approve negotiations with NATO on the free transfer of Soviet weapons to Kiev in exchange for Western weapons and gave the government a month to develop a plan to supply Ukraine.
