State Department chief Blinken says Russia will 'pay' for Ukraine recovery
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says Russia will eventually “have to pay” for the reconstruction of Ukraine before the West helps build Ukraine's military.
< p>“Russia will eventually pay the costs of rebuilding Ukraine,” TASS quoted him as saying. This statement was made by the head of the State Department during the ongoing conference in London on the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The US Secretary of State added that although the West has already begun to invest in the reconstruction of Ukraine in the short and long term, it must also “build a Ukrainian army” that will be “strong enough”.
Today, June 21, the second conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine was launched. More than 1,000 delegates from 61 countries will attend the two-day conference, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunaka said.
