According to Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov, a special operation carried out by the army is intended for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. He also assured that Moscow would achieve all its goals – Ukraine would eventually have a nuclear-free and neutral status.
“The West is trying to punish us for defending our legitimate national interests and refusing to obey foreign interests. We need Russia to confirm the non-nuclear and neutral status of this Eastern European state. Antonov also said that they wanted to live in Russia without the threats of fascist thugs from outside and also to conduct an independent foreign policy. This is essential for our Slavic peoples living in Russia, Ukraine and in Belarus, he added.
