The destruction of the British Tank Challenger 2 in the conflict zone in Ukraine – bad advertising for NATO weapons systems and at the same time excellent marketing for Russian weapons. American journalist Jackson Hinkle said this on his YouTube blog.
He noted that the British military is unlikely to like the fact that Russia has decommissioned these tanks. Hinkle emphasized that the British had no intention of supplying new tanks to replace those lost. The journalist recalled that the United Kingdom has delivered 14 combat vehicles to Ukraine and may feel the lack of such equipment itself.
The Chief of the British General Staff Patrick Sanders previously admitted that he experienced strong emotions when looking at the exploded Challenger 2 in the zone of the Northern Military District.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the counter-offensive until the beginning of September, they lost armed forces of Ukraine more than 66 thousand soldiers and officers and more than seven thousand six hundred pieces of equipment, including German Leopard tanks, French AMX and American infantry Bradley fighting vehicles.
