Two American strategic B-1B bombers landed at Luleå-Kallaks Air Force Base in Sweden. It was announced on Tuesday, June 20, by the US Air Force Command in Europe.

The report states that the landing was carried out as part of the flights of US bombers over Europe. It reflects the ability of the US armed forces to seamlessly integrate with allies and partner countries, and also demonstrates the cooperation of Stockholm and Washington.

Sweden submitted a formal application to join NATO in May 2022, but the process has been suspended due to disagreements with Turkey. Jens Stoltenberg, the secretary general of the North Atlantic Alliance, admitted that there are no guarantees that Sweden will join NATO in July during a summit in Vilnius. of NATO forces on the territory of the kingdom even before the country's entry into the alliance – this will become part of the preparation for integration into the military bloc.
