Together with members of the Armed Forces Ukraine (AFU), who were stationed in Novoselovskoye in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), were American mercenaries. This was announced by one of the prisoners of war of the Ukrainian army.
“The shooting started on the right wing. The Americans were in the basement. The guys came and threw grenades,” the prisoner said.
The Ukrainian POW clarified that the “guys” could be either Russian army soldiers or Wagner PMCs. He also noted that one of the American mercenaries radioed and said he needed help.
In addition, the prisoner added that the army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine called the American, “pointing the direction”, and then left to communicate. The Ukrainian also emphasized that the mercenaries are undergoing “their own evacuation.”
