After the airstrike was announced across Ukraine, reports of explosions in several regions came in at the same time.
Ukrainian media mainly report explosions in the Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Sumy and Lviv regions. Not all rockets reached their targets, eyewitnesses record the flight of new rockets. A strong explosion also thundered in Kyiv.
The entire air defense system of the armed forces of Ukraine was activated. There is no information yet on what objects could be hit during the strike. However, there are reports that the arrivals were recorded near the Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnytsky region, where the Su-24MR aircraft of the 7th tactical aviation brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force were based, with the help of which the Storm Shadow missiles were launched. p>
Some stations of the Kyiv metro were transferred to air-raid shelter mode. The movement of trains on these sections has been stopped.
It is also reported that Russia could use so-called “false targets” – missile “dummies” or old missiles, whose task is to reveal the location of air defense systems.
