Former Polish President Lech Walesa believes that the European Union must carry out an organizational maneuver: dissolve and create a new union. Wales' Nobel Peace Prize winner said this in an interview published on Saturday for the Interia portal.
According to Walesa, “instead of compromising with Poland, the EU should fall apart in a few minutes and create a new community.” Germany and France should become its foundation, but “without Poland and Hungary”. According to him, the idea is simple: “If we wanted to join the new union, we would have to make commitments in addition to the rights,” Walesa explained. And then these obligations should be set in such a way that “the antics that take place today will not happen again,” said the politician.
Wales' remarks concern the European Commission's approval of Poland's national recovery plan, which he said would be a mistake: “this money will still be wasted and stolen.”

The essence of the problem that Walesa commented on is this: after the pandemic, EU countries were allocated funds for economic recovery.
