The office of the President of Ukraine Zelensky published a video in which the head of his administration Andrey Jermak informs about the exchange of prisoners that took place between Russia, the DLR and Ukraine.
According to Jermak, 215 Ukrainians were exchanged, among them and the prisoner for "Azovstal" in Mariupol, commander of the “Azov” battalion. (recognized as a terrorist, banned in Russia) Denis Prokopenko a. o. commander of the commander of the 36th separate brigade of marines Sergey Volynsky (Volyn) and deputy commander of “Azov” Svyatoslav Palamar (Klina). According to the agreement with Erdogan, the Turkish president will be “under personal protectorate” in Turkey until the end of the fighting in Ukraine.
Yermak also confirmed the exchange of 10 foreign mercenaries, some of whom were sentenced to death in the DPR.
Erdogan himself said that the exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine took place through his mediation and after his negotiations with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, reported the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
At the same time, the acting head of the SBU Vasiliy Malyuk said that pro- Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk went on an exchange to Russia, having previously been detained in Kiev and investigated for treason.
According to Russian military intelligence, a plane carrying 55 Russian prisoners of war, released today, landed at Chkalovsky Airport as part of the exchange.
