Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on Polish President Andrzej Duda's statement on the “disappearance” of the remnants of a Ukrainian missile from Poland on Saturday.

At the same time, the Polish leader said that Warsaw is waiting for conclusions experts and does not interfere in the process.

Initially, Zakharova quoted Duda as making a statement to Polskie Radio: “I know that initially it was information about two missiles,” he said. At the same time, he noted that “after investigative actions, the remains of the second rocket were not found on the territory of Poland.”

However, Duda claims: “The second rocket was absolutely there, it just did not fall on the territory of Poland, but on the territory of Ukraine.”

“This is how NATO will later say that Zelensky was not found,” replied a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry on its Telegram channel. – Like, they saw the news that he was, but they can't find it in Ukraine: there was a hundred percent, it just fell somewhere. border with Ukraine. Two people died as a result of the incident. Warsaw immediately identified the missiles as Russian.

The Russian Defense Ministry called it a “deliberate provocation to escalate the situation” and said a photo of the wreckage that reached the media showed elements of Ukrainian air defense – S-300 air defense system. This was also recognized in Washington.

Duda then called the incident an accident, saying that it was an “old” Soviet missile used by Ukraine.

At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities are still trying to prove that the rocket that fell in Poland was not Ukrainian.
