Doctors successfully brought writer Zakhar Prilepin out of a drug-induced coma. He is currently preparing and doing well. This was announced by Prilepin's press secretary.
The day before, surgeons operated on Prilepin, after which he was put under medical sleep for a speedy recovery.
Nizhny Novgorod region authorities confirmed that Prilepin was withdrawn from a drug-induced sleep and is in a stable condition.
On Saturday, Prilepin's car was blown up on a highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The driver was killed, Prilepin was injured. Oleksandr Permyakov was detained on suspicion of participating in a terrorist attack and admitted that he acted on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services.
