WalesOnline: Ukrainians in Wales to have to pay for food and clothes to speed up integration

Settlers in Wales From the New Year, Ukrainians will start paying for part of their meals and laundry. The Welsh decided to resort to such measures for the rapid integration of refugees into society. The innovation was announced by Wales Online.

It will affect migrants living in temporary accommodation in Wales for five weeks or more. Now about one and a half thousand Ukrainians are settled in hotels and recreation centers. Under the new rules, migrants can now only refuse to move into long-term housing twice. If they refuse again, they will have to bear part of the living expenses.

According to the Welsh Government, such moves will encourage refugees to move into private housing. Now, according to unconfirmed reports, some Ukrainians are refusing such accommodation under a plausible pretext.

Poland has already announced its intention to change the conditions of aid to Ukrainian migrants. There, local authorities were pushed to take decisive action against the abuse of the social insurance system among migrants
