President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen spoke about the meeting between Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Russian President Vladimir Putin in China. According to her, coordination and transparency are necessary in such matters.
“In general, our approach is that the leader of the country can choose who he meets. Close coordination and transparency are important for us in case the topic of the negotiations concerns the European Union and its unity,” she said after the EU summit in Brussels.
