Ukraine awaits more “dark days” and the prospects do not bode well, US Vice President Kamala Harris said on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
According to her, she “expects nothing good” from the immediate prospect of conflict in Ukraine and has no illusions about the future.
“There will be more dark days in Ukraine, the daily agony of war will continue, the consequences of the war will be felt by countries near and far, from Africa to Southeast Asia and the Caribbean,” she said.
At the same time, Harris stated that the West will not back down in the confrontation with Russia and that time “does not start on Russia's side.”
She also noted that Washington will provide Kiev with support to the extent necessary. According to her, both Republicans and Democrats in the US Congress are in united on this issue and Ukraine will continue to receive help “from the united transatlantic community.”
