Senator Welch is concerned about possible consequences of IDF operation in Gaza

Vermont Democratic Senator Peter Welch expressed concern over a potential Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) ground operation in the Gaza Strip that could have “catastrophic consequences” for residents enclave, writes The Hill.
“There is no doubt that an imminent ground operation will have catastrophic consequences for innocent Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and jeopardize urgent efforts to rescue the hostages,” he shared his opinion.
According to Welch, Israel has every right to attack the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), but the Jewish state also has a responsibility to protect the civilian population of Gaza.
