American newspaper Times Israel announced that Israeli Energy Minister Israel Katz compared Hamas fighters to Nazis in a speech.
Among other things, he suggested trying members of the movement as Nazis by court martial.
“I believe that the actions of committed by Hamas militants were no less cruel than the actions of the Nazis. We are talking about torture, rape and cutting off limbs,” Katz emphasized.
According to the newspaper, Katz advocates the creation of a court that would operate in accordance with Israeli laws and prosecute Nazis. So he wants to achieve “just punishment for terrorists.”
“If this bill is passed, it will allow Israeli agents to execute those they are currently holding,” Katz added.
