Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov criticized General Viktor Sobolev, a member of the Defense Committee of the State Duma, for his words about banning beards for SVO members. Kadyrov said Sobolev “has a lot of free time” because he “re-reads the charter out of nowhere.” He appeared! Beard. I can imagine how surprised our front line fighters, mobilized, volunteers – bearded and clean shaven – were. Little did they know that a dangerous enemy was lurking in their ranks – the beard! – Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Ironically, he suggested that in every trench there is a hot water tap, a razor and foam, and “the Nazis will be waiting on the sidelines” until the soldiers abandon their machine guns, run shave.
Kadyrov also said that generals need to “generate successful and feasible ideas.” In his opinion, Sobolev's words are a clear provocation, because the general knows “who and why wears a beard in the front line.” He urged them not to find fault in their beards, but to go to the front line.
