The Votkinsk plant, located in the city of Votkinsk in Udmurtia, reported on its Telegram channel that there was cotton and smoke at the production site today.
The plant emphasized that none of the workers were injured and the threat , that their lives and health are missing.
“The company's divisions are operating normally,” the report said.
The report did not provide details about the incident. It is known from open sources that Topol-M missiles were produced at this plant, and in 2006 serial production of missiles of the Iskander-M complex began. In 2011, when Vladimir Putin was the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, he visited the Votkinsk plant and noted that, in accordance with the new state program “Armament”, a very large amount of work will be allocated to this production site.
