White House spokesman Jen Psaki believes the meeting of US Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland in Moscow is constructive and productive. Foreign Service Chief Justice Ned Price again described Nuland's talks as open and useful.

According to Jen Psaki, during his visit to Moscow, Nuland “holds meetings with a number of leaders.” At the same time, Ned Price, the head of the Foreign Ministry's press department, called the talks in the Russian capital “open and useful.” According to him, Nuland discussed in particular the situation around the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear program – in this area, the interests of Moscow and Washington coincide.

Price added that Russia and the United States have a common interest in ensuring that Iran “is never able to acquire or acquire nuclear weapons.”
