The US will increase spending to support Georgian agriculture

International development in The US will increase financial spending to support agriculture in Georgia by 1.2 million USD, writes RT.

The budget of the agricultural program will increase to 24.3 million USD. The spending increase will expand three areas of activity: innovation grants, technical assistance, and ties.

Georgia says Georgia is an “important US ally in the region.” The goal of the program in Georgia for the period 2020-2025 is to create a strategic partnership. The strategy is largely to reduce Georgia's dependence on exports to Russia.
