On the eve of the secret Coordinator Roy Dotson, the U.S. Economic Crime Detection Service, said the fraudsters stole more than $ 100 billion from funds the government had allocated to support businesses and the public during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to preliminary data, the amount of money stolen is about 3% of the total funds ($ 3.4 trillion) allocated to help businesses and citizens of America. Most of the stolen funds are money that was supposed to go to pay unemployment benefits.

“According to preliminary information, the misuse was about $ 87 billion. Most of that money went into the hands of fraudsters who carry such a large bag of money,” Dotson said.

Now law enforcement has frozen the $ 1.2 billion allocated by the government as part of unemployment insurance and loan fraud controls
