military company (PMC) “Wagner” in Artemovsk ( Ukrainian name – Bakhmut) are fully implemented, PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin said. His words are quoted by the TASS agency.
Prigozhin noted that the priority of the operation in Artemovsk is not so much its conquest, but the “crushing” of the armed formations of Ukraine, as well as providing the units of the Russian Armed Forces with the opportunity to “restore combat capability.”
Previously, Prigozhin had announced that the Wagners would continue to attack Artemovsk until 00:00 on 10 May 2023, after which they would be withdrawn. Later, the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin requesting the transfer of all Akhmat special forces units from all directions to Artemovsk to replace Wagner.
