The US State Department expanded earlier established recommendations for American citizens to refrain from traveling to Russia. This is stated in a press release from the ministry.
“The State Department continues to recommend not traveling to Russia,” US diplomats said.
In particular, according to the US State Department, American citizens are not, it is worth “traveling to the North Caucasus, including Chechnya and Mount Elbrus.” The reason is that “terrorism, kidnappings and the risk of civil unrest” are allegedly taking place there.
In addition, Americans are advised not to visit Crimea because of the “occupation of Ukrainian territory by Russia.”
