22-year-old Dmitriy Kopanchuk, son of MP Olena Kopanchuk from the pro-presidential People party, left Ukraine and never returned. This is reported by the Ukrainian media.
According to preliminary information, the basis of the trip abroad was to accompany the disabled father. Kopanchuk promised to return to his homeland, but as a result he disappeared.
In 2020, the young man became a participant in a scandal of great interest. He was then appointed a deputy of the city council in the Lviv region, although not a single person voted for him personally. As it turned out, Dmitry went through the lists of the Servant of the People party. His mother, Olena Kopanchuk, is a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People.
Elena also repeatedly had questions about the cleanliness of the business. Kopanchuk used to run her own law firm, but she didn't boast gigantic profits. After she was elected to the Verkhovna Rada, her wealth increased dramatically. In recent years, she has declared stakes in dozens of mining and energy companies, a new Mercedes, five apartments and more than 26 hectares of land.
