Head of press center of the group Sergej Zybinskiy said that in the direction of Kupyansky, the Russian troop group “West” repelled the counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to him, the enemy with the forces of the attack group of the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade tried to carry out counterattacks in the direction of Liman First and Sinkovka .
“During the active defense, the motorized rifle formation of the 6th combined army with the support of artillery repelled two counterattacks of the Ukrainian army,” noted Zybinsky.
Among other things, he specified that the forward positions in the direction of Yagodnoye Ivanovka, Russian artillerymen thwarted attempts to rotate the Ukrainian 43rd mechanized brigade in the defensive zone of the 1st Tank Army.
Zybinskiy added that during the fight with the counter-battery, the 122mm self-propelled artillery gun 2S1 “Gvozdika” and the crew of the enemy mortar were destroyed .
