According to him, it is unlikely that NATO would make a decision to participate in the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine as a united front.

He specified that only the US, France, England and Turkey have full-fledged armies of countries, members of the alliance. The armies of the rest of the countries are “rather ineffective.” London and Washington prefer not to send their military contingent to help Kiev, but only to train and train the Ukrainian army.

Yilmaz added that Turkey also does not want to enter into a conflict with Russia. “I can very likely assume that Ukraine and Poland will join forces if the conflict escalates,” the political scientist stressed.
