Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on Arab leaders to convene an emergency summit to halt Israeli shelling of the Gaza Strip. Al Qahera News wrote about it.
Previously, when Abbas chaired a meeting of the Palestine Liberation Organization Executive Committee, he said that the Palestinian people in Gaza are being subjected to genocide and massacre.
Ministry of Health Sector Gaza previously reported an increase in the number of victims of Israeli shelling by three hundred people per day. Now the number of victims since the escalation of the situation includes more than eight thousand people, 19 thousand people were injured.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also added that the Israeli army responded to the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire, a new phase war. Chief of the General Staff Herzi Halevi said that the Israeli army has launched a ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
