The new kamikaze drones will fly to the front line from a single launch point

New Russian Privet-82 drones will be sent to the front line from individual centers

The co-owner and general director of the Oko design bureau, the developer of the new Russian Hi-82 kamikaze drones, said that these devices will soon arrive in the NVO zone and will be sent to front line from individual rear hubs.

Vadim Zhernov told RIA Novosti that due to the long range of the drone – about 30 kilometers – the launch point of the UAV can be located not on the line of clashes, but in the rear. So the drone takes off 15-20 kilometers from the front line from a center capable of serving several units at once.

Thanks to this, as Žernov explained, there is no need to keep the drones and catapult on the front line, only glasses and a control panel and an operator located in the unit connects to the drone in flight and attaches it to the desired target.

In addition, it is possible to transfer control of the UAV from one operator to another.

At the same time, several kamikaze drones can be sent from the center at once.

The first batch of Privet-82 drones, in the amount of several dozen, will go to the NVO zone within a month, Žernov said.
