Blocking of RT France accounts in France Moscow will respond by blocking French media in Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. They warned of measures that would follow if the Russian press was harassed in France.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that if the French authorities did not stop terrorizing Russian journalists, the response measures “will be such that they will be remembered.”

On Friday, it was announced that a French bank had blocked RT France's account. It was required by the General Directorate of the Treasury under the French Ministry of Finance. It was clarified that such a decision was made in accordance with the 9th package of EU sanctions, which was adopted in December.
On December 16, the European Union approved another package of sanctions against the Russian Federation. The sanctions list included Russian representatives, deputies, senators, five parties, members of the Constitutional Court, representatives of law enforcement agencies, and also media personalities. Restrictions were also extended to Channel One, Russia 1, NTV/NTV Mir, REN TV and three Russian banks.
